To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.

As a US-based application, we process your data based on your consent (provided when you register and accept these terms) and as necessary to fulfill the service you have requested. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, do not use the App.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third-party advertisers or data brokers. We share data only in the following limited
circumstances:

Service providers and analytics processors: We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the App. Google receives anonymized usage data as described in Section 6. Business transition: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred. We will notify you via email or prominent in-app notice before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Cookies and Google Analytics

6.1  What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the App and understand how it is used.

6.2  Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to collect information about how users interact with the App. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs. This data is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled, which means your IP address is truncated before storage. Google Analytics data is used solely to analyze App usage and improve our service. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising or remarketing purposes.

Google's use of data collected through Google Analytics is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

6.3  Essential Cookies
We also use essential cookies required for the App to function, including session cookies that keep you logged in and security cookies that help protect your account. These cannot be disabled without preventing core App functionality.

6.4  Managing Cookies
You can control cookie settings through your browser. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or be notified when a cookie is set. Note that disabling cookies may affect certain App features. For more information on managing cookies, visit allaboutcookies.org.

7. Google OAuth and Google's Data Practices
If you choose to sign in using Google OAuth, Google will share your name and email address with Porta pursuant to your authorization. We use this information solely to create and manage your account. We do not receive your Google password.

Our use of data received from Google OAuth complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not share it with third parties except as described in this policy, and do not use it for purposes beyond operating and improving the App.

Google's handling of your data during the OAuth authentication process is governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can revoke Porta's access to your Google account at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions.

8. Location Data
Location data is collected only with your explicit permission, granted through your browser or device settings. You may withdraw location permission at any time through your browser or device settings. Withdrawing location permission may limit certain App features but will not affect your core account
access.

9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes). Analytics data retained by Google Analytics is subject to Google's own retention policies.

10. Children's Privacy
Porta is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at team@helloporta.com.

11. California Residents — CCPA Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

13. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the Effective Date above. The current version of this policy is always available at helloporta.com/privacy-policy. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
